CalARVC Gets Social With MyCampMate

The California Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (CalARVC) is partnering with myCampmate, a social trip-planning app and website that allows users to share information using an interactive map.

Sacramento, CA November 4, 2011 - The association reported in this week’s “Wednesday Morning Coffee Talk & Updates” that “every member park will have an identifying pin on the map, with basic listing information, making it easy for the consumer to find your business.

This type of social media integration allows campers and the campgrounds to coordinate group camping trips, plan what to see and do and share tips with an entire community of campers on an interactive map. Local deals, hot spots and geo-caching are all part of the sharing.

“We are extremely excited to see the CalARVC member locations using this platform as a customer service tool and a way to generate new business. Their customers and campers what to know what there is to do, now the local can show them on the map down the exact rock”
-Tyler Campbell, Founder of myCampmate

Each member of the association is able to create custom, private trips for their customers. These trips can feature and highlight points of interest and where to get local provisions near where the camper is staying. The ability to bring a new level of customer service to each member is drastically enhanced by using this platform.
