CAMP-CALIFORNIA.COM PINPOINTS CAMPGROUNDS WITH MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND AVAILABILITY

AUBURN, Calif., May 2014 — If you're just now looking to book a campsite or cabin for Memorial Day weekend, you've waited too long.
But there are still a handful of campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across California that have space available.
Camp-California.com, the statewide travel planning website, is assembling a list of privately owned and operated parks that have campsites and/or cabins available for the holiday weekend.
"In some cases, we also have information on Memorial Day weekend activities from those parks that have provided this information to us," said Debbie Sipe, executive director of the California Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds, which hosts Camp-California.com.
Here are some of the campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across California that still have vacancy over the holiday weekend:

North Coast

— Kamp Klamath RV Park and Campground in Klamath: Activities include a barbecue with live music and spring Chinook (King) salmon fishing. Three nights for the price of two. www.kampklamath.com

— Mendocino Campground, Mendocino: Nearby activities include beach access, swimming, kayaking, fishing, hiking and cycling. www.mendocinoscampground.com

Sierra
