MORE THAN A QUARTER OF A MILLION PRINT AND ONLINE VERSIONS OF CAMP-CALIFORNIA, THE CAMPER’S GUIDE TO CALIFORNIA, HIT THE STREETS

AUBURN, Calif., Jan. 29, 2013 -- The California Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds has begun distributing more than a quarter of a million print and online versions of its popular camping guide, Camp-California, the Camper’s Guide to California.

“This is our best guide yet!” Debbie Sipe, CalARVC’s executive director, said of the 2013 edition, which rolled off the presses in mid-January.

Sipe said 200,000 print versions of the directory are being distributed to consumers free of charge through California Welcome Centers and Camping World stores throughout California as well as campgrounds, RV parks and resorts that are affiliated with CalARVC.

Another 25,000 to 30,000 mobile versions of guide will be also be available for smart phones and tablets in the iTunes Store in the coming weeks. The guide can also be ordered online through Camp-California.com. However, there is a small fee to cover the cost of postage.

Camp-California, the Camper’s Guide to California is a four-color glossy magazine that lists nearly 800 campgrounds and RV resorts throughout the Golden State. It is considered a critical travel planning resource for camping and RVing enthusiasts with information not only on RV and tent sites, but a wide variety of rental accommodations, including tent cabins, yurts, teepees, covered wagons and even motels.

It also nicely complements Camp-California.com, CalARVC’s travel planning website, which the association has improved in recent years with more detailed travel planning sections, including a section that lists campgrounds, RV parks and resorts that can accommodate RVs over 40 feet in length. Additional sections provide information on driver’s license requirements and road restrictions involving 40-foot plus RVs.
