Springs at Borrego RV Resort Receives and "A" grade

THE SPRINGS AT BORREGO RV RESORT RECEIVES AN “A” GRADE IN THE FIFTH ANNUAL CONSUMER SATISFACTION SURVEY OF INDEPENDENT, PRIVATELY-OWNED PARKS

BORREGO SPRINGS, Calif., Dec. 18, 2012 – The Springs at Borrego RV Resort was one of 42 campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across the country to earn an all around “A” grade in the fifth annual GuestRated satisfaction survey of independent parks.

This 143-site park received an “A” grade in overall guest satisfaction for the year 2012. This was the third year in a row that The Springs at Borrego RV Resort has received the “A” grade. The top-rated parks were announced at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas during a Nov. 30th awards ceremony hosted by the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC).

More than 30,000 camping and RV enthusiasts completed reviews in the GuestRated.com online survey, grading their experiences at 3,200 independent RV parks and campgrounds.

“Consistently earning an overall ‘A’ grade from guests is difficult, and our 42 winners this year represent less than 2% of all of the nation’s campgrounds.” said Bob MacKinnon, president and CEO of GuestRated.com, the Murrieta, Calif.-based company that conducted the online survey on behalf of ARVC.

The Springs at Borrego RV Resort provides its guests with a variety of amenities not typically found in RV resorts, including a spa and wellness center that offers massages for couples as its newest amenity. The park also recently added a large amphitheater to accommodate large outdoor events.

“Over the summer, our pool and spas were completely replastered and the pool deck was resurfaced, so the pool area is like brand new,” said Dan Wright, the park’s general manager, adding that he is also adding a propane fire pit near the pool area that will create a cozy gathering place on chilly winter evenings.

“Another thing that some RVers may be interested in is the configuration of our new ‘Fairway Sites,’ which border right on the 2nd and 5th fairways of the golf course,” Wright said. “These ultra-deluxe 40 x 80 RV sites are double-loaded, meaning power, water, cable TV and sewer are located on both sides of the 18- by 70-foot concrete slab, allowing folks to park a motor home headed in or backed in, their choice.”

The Springs at Borrego offers classes in water aerobics, Qi Gong, Tai Chi and Yoga in addition to tennis clinics and line dancing. The resort also offers frequent wine tasting social hours as well as monthly “star parties” with world-renowned astronomer and sky photographer Dennis Mammana. The parties include a buffet-style dinner, after which Mammana provides a short lecture and slide show on a particular topic. He then invites the participants to look into the galaxies through telescopes that are set up within walking distance of the park for the convenience of resort guests.

But while The Springs at Borrego’s amenities and activities are certainly an attraction for guests, Wright attributes his park’s “A” rating to the efforts of his staff.

“We have a large team of folks who work here who really ‘get it’ when it comes to customer service,” he said. “Our staff knows if our customers don’t get the right customer service, it doesn’t matter how beautiful our facility is. They won’t come back. So our guests come here and they become our friends because they know they are going to have a good experience. We forge a lifelong relationship, and that’s what this is all about, I think.”
