North Coast California Camping and RVing Information

North Coast Wine Region

North Coast - From rolling hills to towering redwoods, the scenery along the North Coast is as memorable as the wine. With one of the coolest climates in our state, this region is home to more than half of our wineries, including many of our most celebrated. And the North Coast's renowned food artisans craft everything from olive oil to goat cheese, ensuring that your plate is as full as your glass.

Lake County -The jewel of Lake County is the body of water it's named for, Clear Lake. The largest natural freshwater lake in California, it's a popular destination for water skiing, bass fishing and kayaking. Lake County is building a reputation for its fine, affordable Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. Stay at nearby RV parks and campgrounds.

Los Carneros - Carneros means Sheep in Spanish. You'll see lots of these natural weed controllers rambling along the rolling hills and abundant vines of Los Carneros. This AVA straddles Napa and Sonoma counties, and while many varietals are grown there, it is celebrated for its sparkling wines. Stay at nearby RV parks and campgrounds.

Mendocino County - Foggy, cool and moody, Mendocino County is home to the world's tallest living tree, a coastal redwood that stands at 112 meters (370 feet). 60% of Mendocino county is covered in redwood forest, while vintners make good use of the rest. Stay at nearby RV parks and campgrounds.

Napa Valley - First recognized at the Judgment of Paris in 1976, Napa Valley's world-renowned wines have found an equal match in the region's cuisine. From Ubuntu's dynamic garden fare to Thomas Keller's Michelin-starred French Laundry and Tacos Michoacan's casual roadside spice, you'll find tasty cuisine around every corner.  Stay at nearby RV parks and campgrounds.

Sonoma County - Sonoma has many distinctions, but here's one to note: it grows more Pinot Noir than any other county in the state. Gourmet farm and vineyard dinners are common here, an expression of the area's great wine, homegrown culinary culture and love of the great outdoors. Stay at nearby RV parks and campgrounds.
