High Sierra

The majestic Sierra Nevada mountain range, the highest on the continent, is an outdoor-adventure seeker's paradise. This region lies east of the Gold County and up to the Nevada border. It ofen has an elevation of more than 5000 ft. It includes Lake Almanor in the north, continuing past Lake Tahoe and on past Bishop down to Tehachapi in the south.
